The wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle was held on Today at Windsor Castle in England. The groom, Prince Harry, is a member of the British royal family; the bride, Meghan Markle, is an American former actress.
Prince Harry was conferred the title His Royal Highness The Duke of Sussex by Queen Elizabeth II on the morning of the wedding, and Ms. Markle became Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Sussex on marriage.
The wedding took place on Saturday, 19 May 2018 at St George’s Chapel, Windsor.The venue was previously the site for the weddings of Prince Harry’s uncle, the Earl of Wessex, and his cousin, Peter Phillips, as well as the blessing for the marriage of the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, Harry’s stepmother.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been proclaimed husband and wife by the Archbishop of Canterbury in a ceremony watched by a global audience of hundreds of millions of people.
A host of celebrities including Oprah Winfrey, George Clooney and David Beckham are among the 600 invited guests alongside senior members of the Royal family.
