Tehreek e Kashmir honours UK-based Kashmiri journalists with awards

Birmingham: The Kashmir Media Award ceremony was held here on the other day. The award ceremony was organised by Tehreek-e-Kashmir United Kingdom.

The chief guest and editor-in-chief Daily Kashmir Post Altaf Ahmed Bhat couldn’t attend the function due to illness.

President TeK Fahim Kayani gave awards to UK based journalists Nasir Mahmood Raja Sama News , Asif Mehmood Bratlvi AMB News & Geo News , Syed Abid Kazami 92 News and Owner CNI News Network , S M Irfan Tahir Director World News TV UK, Zahid Khattak Dunya News, Adil Azam ARY News , Abrar Mughal, Ch Mohammed Basharat JK News.

President TeK UK Kayani also gave away awards to Azad Jammu and Kashmir based two prominent journalists and former presidents of Central Press Club Muzaffarabad and Press Club Mirpur Tariq Naqash and Sajjad Jarral.

On the occasion President TeK Kayani said that media has a role to shape the opinion and present facts before the public.
The Kashmiri journalists working in UK for Pakistani TV channels and newspapers are the ambassadors of Pakistan and AJK in UK.

We are proud of our journalist fellows to whom we gave awards for their contributions in the field of journalism in UK.

On the occasion Former President Central Press Club Muzaffarabad Tariq Naqash thanked the TeK for giving him award and said award is not only appreciation but also the recognition of your work and for that he is indebted to TeK UK.

Former President Mirpur Press Club Sajjad Jarral said that the way TeK honoured the work of AJK journalists here In Birmingham is encouraging sign that gives motivation to the journalists to do much more good work and receive appreciation from the masses. I am rally grateful and appeal to the other organisations to follow the footprints of TeK to appreciate the good work of journalists.

Social media activist Inam ul haq Masoodi also thanked TeK and its President for honouring him with award which means a lot for the person who believes in professionalism.
