London: The newly appointed Pakistan High Commissioner to the UK Mohammad Nafees Zakaria interacted with UK based Pakistani media persons at Chancey Hall, Pakistan High Commission London.

He shared his views with local electronic and print media representatives and stated that Pakistan media can play a vital role in promoting a good image of Pakistan in Britain and the rest of the world. We should use our media strength effectively to improve the relationship between Pakistan and the UK. High Commission tries to engage the community in a positive way and get a better result from the diaspora for the home Country. We can get many nationalities and many citizenships but we can’t cut off with our basic relation with our country that is Pakistan.

To protect our country in a better way is our responsibility. Some people try to create misperceptions for Pakistan, we should correct those misperceptions and develop our country in a positive manner. We should show our strengths to the International community such as our natural resources etc. At this stage it would be better to act rather than talk. Pakistan will also continue to provide diplomatic, political and moral support to our Kashmiri brothers and sisters. He said we should try to attract international donors and businessmen to invest more capital in Pakistan.

Furthermore, he said we will try to provide welfare services to our community.
