UAJK, University of Karachi ink MoU for academic collaboration
MUZAFFARABAD, June 17: The University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (UAJK) and the University of Karachi on Thursday inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for inter-institutional cooperation and academic collaboration by supporting academic and research activities among the faculty and students of the two institutions.
The MoU signing ceremony was held at the City Campus of UAJK, which was attended by the Registrar of the University, Dr Ayesha Sohail, Director Finance, Director Planning, Dean Faculty of Health Sciences, Director Business Incubation Center (BIC), and other officials of the university.
Speaking on the occasion Dr. Aliya Rehman, Director of Office of Research, Innovation & Commercialization (ORIC) of the University of Karachi said that Karachi University is the largest university in the country in which more than 40,000 students are studying.
She said that after signing this MoU, faculty members and students of the University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir will immensely benefit from research projects, exchange of knowledge, product development activities, industry visits, joint seminars, conferences, workshops, special lectures and training sessions.
In addition, the students of UAJK will also benefit from the services of the Business Incubation Center (BIC) established at the University of Karachi, Ms. Aliya added. The ceremony was also addressed by Prof. Dr. Ansar Yaseen, Director Planning, and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Siddique Awan Director Finance.
The ceremony ended with the concluding remarks of Dr. Muhammad Naeem, Director, ORIC, University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir who thanked all the guests and participants of the event.
