Sardar Abdul Qayyum Khan Legend of Kashmir

Those personalities are always alive in poeople’s hearts and minds for centuries who’s are devoted with creative missionary mindset and worked for humanity in life.
Sardar Muhammad Abdul Qayyum khan was not one person. He was a symbol of unity, forgiveness, traditional values, Islamic thoughts and institution of Ideology. He devoted his whole life for Islam, Pakistan and freedom of Kashmir. People will bear me out that Sardar Qayyum was a real revolutionary and a specific leader in South Asia, who was not a big landlord or businessman but still he had a special status and great respect in million hearts. He brought big change in political milieu and proved himself a legendary leader.
He had served in British India army. Then he led 18 months jihad -e- Kashmir as sector commander Bagh in 1947 and played very important & significant role to liberate the territory of Azad Kashmir.
He served Kashmiris four times as President of Azad Jammu kashmir then once as a Prime Minister, Opposition leader and Chairman national Kashmir committee Pakistan.
He was a social reformer, wise statesman, and a great legendary politician, religious, spiritual leader and God gifted eminent scholar, author of 30 published books and motivated speaker. He was the first politician in region who had delivered lectures, speeches in army Staff & Command College Quetta and other international, national military institutions for many years on Kashmir. Sardar Qayyum did great efforts to enforce Islamic laws and extended education in AJK and He spoke and visited most of the world media, policy makers and parliamentarians to plead his homeland freedom. He has been elected President MC 14 times and then he was lifetime supreme head of the MC.
I felt honoured and very proud to associated with him 30 years in two governments tenures as PRO (1985-90) Press Secretary 1991-1995) Advisor to Prime Minister for human rights (with his son Sardar Attique Ahmed khan 2011) and his great leadership in Muslim conference (1983-2015) as Secretary information, Secretary General North America, Chairman Human rights wing, Chief coordinator Europe, Deputy Secretary General and learnt allot from his great wisdom, exclusive expertise and leadership.
He has been set many examples to resolved very crucial Pakistan’s political and religious problems with dialogue and best strategical skills. His role in MRD a golden memories for Pakistani nation against Bhutto regime. He was against Pakistani political parties in AJK and fights with Pak political elite, also spent many years in jail.
He was very simple, honest, dedicated hard working man who spent his whole life to serve humanity without discrimination, peace and human rights, democracy and freedom of Kashmir, he gave and promoted slogan ‘’Kashmir benega Pakistan’’ and stood on this ideological theme.
Ghazi e Millat Sardar Ibrahim Khan & Sardar Abdul Qayyum khan were true symbols of greatness & freedom of Kashmir. Sardar Qayyum had played vital role as member of constituent council of rabita al- Alam Al- Islami to resolve problems and unity among Muslim Ummah.
