On 5th August 2019 India unilaterally and unconstitutionally abrogated article 370 , article 35 A , removing the special status for Kashmir. This cruel act of government is inhumane by besieging over 8 million people of Kashmir in their own homes. They have been under lock down for the last 12 months. It is just a few months that we are in lockdown in UK and it is unbearable for us and imagine what they are feeling. Their pain frustration and economic turndown.

Since 5th August 2019, Indian government has made the demographic changes in Indian administered Jammu & Kashmir, This is a clear violation of the international treaties and UN resolutions.

Recently India has issued domicile certificates to the immigrants to get settled in Kashmir. Meanwhile, the residential and land laws have been changed to provide land and housing for non Kashmiris , empowering the army to take over without the government permission.

The state of India is violating the basic fundamental right of the people of Jammu & Kashmir. The freedom of expression, freedom of speech, freedom to live in safe and secure with dignity are a farfetched dream of the people of Kashmir. Journalists have been harassed and abducted for speaking out the truth.
