The results of the recent local council elections 2026 in Birmingham have been announced for about 99 of the 101 seats

Birmingham: The results of the recent local council elections 2026 in Birmingham, the second largest, central, and most multicultural city in the UK, have been announced for about 99 of the 101 seats. Of these, 22 seats were won by Reform UK, 19 by the Green Party, 17 by the governing Labour Party, 16 by local Conservatives, 13 by independent candidates, and 12 by the Liberal Democrats.
The final official results for the two key seats of Glebe Farm and Tile Cross are yet to be announced. John Cotton, the Labour Party’s group leader on Birmingham City Council, has lost Glebe Farm and Tile Cross, while independent candidate Shehryar Kayani is facing a Reform candidate, and Reform has already won one seat. The third and final counting of Glebe Farm and Tile Cross will take place on Monday, and then the lucky winner will be officially announced.
The results of these important and sensitive seats are being awaited with great intensity and impatience throughout Birmingham and across the UK. According to a reliable source, during the first two counts, young independent candidate British Pakistani Shehryar Kayani appeared ahead by a few votes, and there is a strong possibility that he will win this seat.
