Baroness Sayeeda Warsi, at the 1st Annual Community Lecture held at Yasmin Banqueting in Walsall

Walsall: Baroness Sayeeda Warsi, a British lawyer, politician, member of the House of Lords, former co-chairwoman of the Conservative Party (2010–2012), and former Minister of State for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, delivered a keynote address at the 1st Annual Community Lecture held at Yasmin Banqueting in Walsall.

The event was organised by Black Country Innovate CIC (Walsall) and hosted by Nasar Iqbal. The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by a performance of Naat Rasool Maqbool by two young girls.

The Mayor of Walsall welcomed the distinguished guests, and a diverse audience of men and women from Walsall and surrounding areas attended the gathering. Baroness Warsi shared insights from her book Muslims Don’t Matter and provided an in-depth analysis of the current situation in the Middle East, human rights violations, the stance of the British government and opposition, and the challenges faced by the Muslim community today. Additionally, Maria Nawaz read a message from Professor Imran Awan, and Nasar Iqbal expressed gratitude to the guests for their attendance and support.
