Birmingham: The British Pakistani Psychiatrists Association (BPPA) Annual Academic Conference 2021. The theme of the Conference was the current issues in mental health, equality, diversity and inclusion. The aims and objectives were to share evidence based research on diagnosis and management of mental disorders this event was attended by about 100 members of British Pakistani Psychiatrists Association (BPPA) from the UK and Republic of Ireland. The President , Dean and registrar of the Royal College of psychiatrists gave presentations on training doctors, well-being and work force issues. Achievement awards were presented to eminent psychiatrists to recognised their contributions for the services of British psychiatry. The oath taking ceremony of the new executive committee took place during the conference Dr Shahid Latif Chairman, Dr Rais Irfan General Secretary, Dr Asad Malik Academic Secretary and Dr Amir Sajjad as treasurer for the tenure of 2021 to 2024. Founder Chairman Dr Akmal Makhdoom, Senior Members of the organisation including Dr Hassan Javed, Dr Mateen Durrani , Dr Rubina Anjum, Dr Qaiser Zaidi, Dr Rahat Ghafoor, Sadia Muzaffar and others.
