Consul of Pakistan Birmingham: Bakhtawar Mir received award from the Lord Mayor of Birmingham | WNTV
Birmingham: Acting Consul General of Pakistan, Birmingham Ms Bakhtawar Mir was presented with awards by the Lord Mayor of Birmingham Councillor Maureen Cornish.
This award was given to her in recognition of her efforts to strengthen Pakistan-UK relations and community services. In this regard, a beautiful ceremony was held at the Lord Mayor Suite Council House in which Deputy Lord Mayor of Birmingham Councillor Shafique Shah, Councillor Muhammad Idrees Chair of Housing and Neighbourhood Overview Scrutiny Committee, Chairperson APWA Birmingham Riffat Mughal, Makhdoom Chishti Chairman Sufi Trust UK, British-born Pakistani cricketer Salma Bi and others were also present.
On this occasion, the Lord Mayor of Birmingham Councillor Maureen Cornish said that women are performing significant services alongside men in every field of life, which is very important and should be encouraged.
On this occasion, Deputy Lord Mayor of Birmingham Councillor Shafique Shah, Councillor Muhammad Idrees, Riffat Mughal and others appreciated Bakhtawar Mir’s services to the Pakistani community and wished her more success in the near future.
