Kashmiris in UK launch mass programs against G20 meet in Kashmir
BIRMINGHAM – Upping the ante against India’s nefarious designs by holding a G20-related even in Indian Illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (II0JK), Kashmiri diaspora in the UK announced several programs to force India out of the UN-designated disputed region.
Fahim Kayani, president Tehreek-e-Kashmir (TeK) UK, told a news conference at Kashmir House here: “The aim behind holding the G20 event in IIoJK by India is to hoodwink the international community that Kashmiris have accepted New Delhi’s illegal occupation.”
“By enforcing graveyard silence into IIoJK, the fanatic Hindutva Indian state wants Kashmiris to move past their genuine and UN-granted demand right to self-determination but Kashmiris will never give an inch to Indian fascist state,” Kayani said.
Kayani said time was right for the international community to raise Kashmir issue with India which has sent invite for the G20 event in IIoJK.
“This is the right time for all G20 member states to ask Indi why IIoJK has been turned into a situation where one million Indian troops have been illegally deployed,” the Tehreek-e-Kashmir UK president said.
“Kashmiris call on the G20 states to ask India why it was not adhering to the UN resolutions on Kashmir,” Kayani said announcing several programs to counter Indian propaganda on IIoJK.
He said a digital campaign to expose Indian nefarious designs behind G20 meeting in IIoJK will be launched in London on May 10.
“This digital van will visit all G20 embassies in London besides British parliament where a conference o Kashmir will also be held,” Kayani, flanked by TeK UK leaders Mufti Abdul Majid Nadim and Chaudhary Ikram ul Haq.
The TeK UK leader said the diaspora leadership of Kashmir and Pakistan, joined by their allies, will submit a petition at the UK prime minister’s office on May 13.
“On May 17, a Kashmir delegation will visit all G20 embassies in the UK and Europe to apprise them about disputed status of IIoJK and why Indian invitation to these UN member nations, to visit the IIoJK, violate the UN Charter,” Kayani said.
Kayani announced mass demonstrations across the UK and Europe on May 21 – a day before Indian government is expected to host G20 officials in the UN-designated disputed territory.
“We are also writing to British lawmakers to urge them make their efforts to block the UK and other G20 members’ participation in the IIoJK at the Indian invitation,” he added.
