UK car rally highlights Kashmir battle for freedom

Bradford– Continuing its efforts to spread awareness about illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir by India, Kashmiri diaspora groups in the UK held a car rally on Saturday.

The participants during the car rally urged the British and the Europeans to come to the rescue of Kashmiris from the fascist policies of India under Narendra Modi regime.

The rally was jointly organized by Pakistan Kashmir United Forum in collaboration with Tehreek-e-Kashmir UK and Overseas Pakistanis Welfare Council UK. Hundreds of Kashmiris, Pakistanis, British and Europeans participated in the rally which started from Bradford Central Mosque.

Asif Khan from Pakistan Kashmir United Forum, Hafiz Muhammad Azad Secretary General Tehreek-e-Kashmir UK ,Raja AD Khan from Pakistan Kashmir United Forum , Raja Shiraz Akhtar from Overseas Pakistanis Welfare Council UK , Raja Najabat Hussain J&K Founder self determination and Sardar Abdul Hafeez from Tehreek-e-Kashmir UK led the car rally and they said in their joint statement “The international community will have to understand the gravity of the situation in Indian Illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIoJK) and hold India accountable for her war crimes and help Kashmiris to get their right to self-determination,”

Asif Khan , Coordinator of the Rally said “Kashmiris are for justice, freedom and against colonialism and that is what the struggle for right to self-determination in IIoJK is all about,”

“This rally is express our solidarity with the people in IIoJK who are undergoing state terrorism by Indian occupying forces,” said Fahim Kayani, president of Tehreek-e-Kashmir UK, in a telephonic address to the leadership of Tehreek-e-Kashmir Bradford branch at the rally.

Kayani said it was in continuation of Kashmir Solidarity Programs held by Kashmiri diaspora in the UK and Europe to express solidarity with people of the IIoJK.
