Birmingham: Melody Masters International (MMI) celebrated their 5th anniversary at Grand Occasions. The event was hosted by Mohammed Basharat, Chairman and more than 200 guests attended and showed their support.
The evening was a mixture of top-class entertainment showcasing local talent. MMI has been delivering support to people for the last 5 years to help address issues and challenges affecting mental health.
The journey of MMI service users was highlighted; lives were improved as a direct result of MMI’s support. Guests learnt about mental health conditions such as schizophrenia, anxiety, depression, aspergers and how MMI reached out to help people during the period of Lockdown when mental health services were at breaking point. MMI bridged the gap and continued to support the community through real human interaction at its family centre every Saturday.
Other services include a weekly Support Group and a monthly service for Women Only. An awards ceremony to appreciate volunteers and donors. The evening included an auction ,three course meal, stalls as well as a special appearance by Spider Man and others.
