Military Business Breakfast with BAME community at the RBL Centre

Birmingham: A Military Business Breakfast was held with the BME community at the RBL Drop-in Centre Victoria Square, Birmingham. A presentation was given by Lt Col Richard Jones from 11 Signal and West Midland Brigade and Major Tony Freeman of 8 RIFLES, who briefed 8 RIFLES on their work with Youth from the BME Community in Sparkbrook. Retired Major General Kevin Abraham, Col Richard Maybery, Major Naveed Mohammed, Wing Commander Paul Bell from Royal Force, Lt Cdr Suzanne Lynch , Lt Cdr Robert Jaffier from Royal Navy and Phillip Sinclair were amongst the many senior officers from British Armed Forces present.The meeting was also attended by Dr Rakesh Sachdev President, Mr Davinder Prasad JP & Pandit Ravi Bhushan from BOPA, Meera Sonecha Policy Adviser Mayor of West Midlands, Saima Butt and many other community leaders from BME communities including Dr Reza Shirazi from Iranian community. Jane Britton & Victoria from Royal British Legion also gave a presentation which included a very moving video from memories of World War 1.
