Annual Event of the association of Pakistani physicians of Northern Europe in Birmingham | WNTVUK

Birmingham: The annual event of the association of the Pakistani physicians of Northern Europe (APPNE) was held at the Edgbaston Cricket ground. APPNE is the largest representative organisation of doctors from Pakistani diaspora working in UK and Ireland. The event was attended by about 1000 doctors of the Pakistani diaspora and their families attending from all across the country, Europe as well as Middle East and Pakistan. Special message of endorsement and appreciation were sent from the President of Pakistan H.E. Dr Arif Alvi and the foreign minister of Pakistan Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi. Special messages were also delivered from the general medical Council as well as the British medical Association. The chief guest on the occasion was the high Commissioner of Pakistan in the United Kingdom H.E. Moazzam Ahmed Khan. The chief guest congratulated the organisers on arranging such a successful event. The participants totally enjoyed the evening with scrumptious food and brilliant music rendered by renowned of ghazal singer Tanya Wells. Activities on continued medical education were organised earlier in the day of various specialities. The activities of the organisation were elucidated by the president of the organisation Dr Irfan Akhtar and Secretary General Dr Shabi Ahmad. The organisers thanked the audience for travelling from all across to participate in the event and making it resounding success. In attendance were Consul of Pakistan Birmingham Sardar Adnan Rashid, Dr Amir Burney, Dr Jamila Shahid, Dr Iram Saeed, Dr Saddaf Jaffar, Dr Shahid Latif, Dr Shaukat Ali Khan, Dr Imran, Dr Tariq Sami, Dr Najam Qureshi, Riffat Mughal, Adeela Parvez, Bina Ahmed, Shaam Abbasi and many others.
