The Royal Navy gave two presentations at Birmingham Central Mosque

Birmingham: On Tuesday 18 April, in partnership with Birmingham Central Mosque, the Royal Navy gave two presentations for adults and young people.  Its aim was to share information with local Muslim diverse communities in relation to why we have a Royal Navy, its history, what they are doing on the Nations’s behalf, how they train and develop their workforce, how they are structured and what they are doing to ensure success both today and in future.   Following their presentation, they have a question, answer session, healthy eating and cooking and fitness training workshops. The presentation included video footage of the workforce in training, on operations and the equipment they use, as well as hearing from people.  There was an exhibition as well.

The Royal Navy’s presence on the world stage sends a powerful message that the UK is committed to global affairs and provides a stabilizing influence. In this way, we prevent conflict on the high seas and protect the flow of international trade on which our nation depends.”
