British Kashmiri and Pakistani community observed August 5, as a Black Day

Birmingham: British Kashmiri and Pakistani community observed August 5, as a Black Day. They showed solidarity with their oppressed Kashmiri brothers and sisters who have been under a 365 days forced lockdown in Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Hundreds of British Kashmiri, Pakistani, friends of humanity and Kashmiris gathered and demonstrated outside Birmingham City Council House, Victoria square Birmingham.

It was managed by Fahim Kayani President Tehreek e Kashmir UK, Raja Amjad Khan President PMN AJK Midland Zone, Muhammad Ghalib President Tehreek e Kashmir Europe, Dr Shukat Ali Khan President JKPP UK, Syed Ashiq Hussain Muslim Conference UK, Liaqat Lone Secretary General JKLF UK, Inam ul Haq Khawajah PTI, Asia Hussain JKSDMI, Yasir Bilal President PYO UK, Mufti Abdul Majeed Nadeem Vice President TeK UK, Waqar Kayani Assistant Secretary General PPP UK and others.

Keynote speakers were Phil Bennion Former MEP, Cllr Waseem Zaffar, Cllr Shafiq Hussain Shah, Ian President TUC Birmingham Branch, Ranjit Singh Srai Spoke person World Sikh Parliament UK, Alistair Socialist worker party, Yusuf Ahmed Student Union Leader, Stuart Stop the War Coalition and others.

British Kashmiri and Pakistani unitedly deny the abrogation of Article 370 and 35 A and special status of Jammu and Kashmir by India. They appealed to the International community to help prevent human rights violations in Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The dignity of women living in Jammu and Kashmir is not safe, neither the lives and property of the occupants nor the future of the children. Kashmir has become a nuclear flash point between Pakistan, India and China. If left unmanaged, it could be the reason behind world war 3.

Protesters also held a Kashmir rally from Birmingham City Council House to Waterstones, Birmingham.
