Mirwaiz Umar Farooq is in continuous illegal house arrest under Indian military surveillance

Srinagar: Syed Faiz Naqshbandi, Convener All Parties Hurriyet Conference Azad Kashmir/ Pakistan Chapter has said that Mirwaiz Dr Umar Farooq is in continuous illegal house arrest under Indian military surveillance. Mirwaiz Umar besides being chairman of APHC , is Mirwaiz-I- Kashmir also but sadly India is not allowing him to discharge his religious and political duties. This is against freedom of religion, free movement and expression.

We urge the United Nations Secretary General to take notice of ongoing genocide of Kashmiris by Indian forces in occupied Kashmir. India has turned Occupied Kashmir into a military garrison and 8 hundred thousand Indian troops are stationed there, making Occupied Kashmir a heightest militarised zone in the world.
