Birmingham: A memorable Iftar dinner took place at Bosnia House Birmingham, in collaboration with the Bosnia and Herzegovina UK Network and Remembering Srebrenica UK.
The event was hosted by Dr. Waqar Azmi OBE, Chairman of Remembering Srebrenica UK and Dr Anes Ceric, Chief Executive of Bosnia UK Network and was attended by a large gathering of key people from different communities and faith groups.
On this occasion, the Chief Imam of UK Bosnian Community, Imam Sedin Sahman, British MP Tahir Ali, Mayor of Solihull Mrs. Shaheen Ashraf, and the Cabinet Member for Social Justice, Community Safety, Equalities, and Employment at Birmingham City Council, Councillor Nicky Brennan delivered powerful messages on the true spirit and purpose of fasting, interfaith harmony, mutual cooperation, and respect for human values.
They highlighted that Ramadan teaches forgiveness, patience, tolerance, and generosity. The CEO of the Bosnia and Herzegovina UK Network, Dr Anes Ceric also expressed heartfelt thanks to the distinguished guests who joined from near and far to make the evening special.
