International Women Day celebrated by Asiana Community Project
Birmingham International Women’s day is celebrated in many countries around the world. It is a day when women are recognized for their achievements without regard to divisions, whether national, ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic or political. International Women’s day first emerged from the activities of labour movements at the turn of the twentieth century in North America and across Europe.International Women Day celebration held at Zimal’s Banqueting Hall was organised by Asiana Community Project. Many women and children got together and enjoyed the beautiful and colourful event. There were also stalls for ladies including clothing makeup and foods. The Participants shared their views and said “The world should give an equal right to women and men in all aspects of the life. Women deserve respect and encouragement for their year on year hard work and responsibilities. Also present were Acp Women Team Mamoona,Shakila, Shabana, Tracy, Salafa, Riffat Mughal President APWA Birmingham, Atiya SR Khalid PTI, AMB Hashmi Rising Girl, Heena Rai WARN, Councillor Shabrana Hussain and many others.
